Prior to joining Tyler Development in 2006, Colby worked in commercial and residential real estate, where he analyzed and tracked financial data and budgets. He has worked for the firm in many capacities, including Project Engineer, Superintendent, Project Manager and now Chief Operating Officer. His duties at Tyler Development include budgeting and scheduling projects, value engineering and managing field teams. He maintains a global position within the firm, assisting in overseeing daily operations of each TDC project. Along with an MFA from USC and a BA from UC Santa Cruz, Colby brings a business management background to the construction process.
